We totally recommend the netflix documentary “Jeremy Scott, the People’s Designer”, the story about Jeremy Scott on this rainy day.
Jeremy Scott, the man responsible for making Moschino’s tweak upscale ready-to-wear with cheeky iconography and brand spoofs, started his career as a designer facing many obstacles.
After being rejected in the main US fashion colleges, and sleeping at the parisian metro, today is a reference in the fashion’s world and his designs are chosen by celebrities like Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Rihanna.
Not being lucky in his search for an internship with a famous designer, he decided to create his own brand, making his first fashion show on his own, in a Parisian bar. True to his extravagant style from the beginning, Jeremy sent the door of a car as an invitation to a French TV reporter to attend his show, and he succeeded. Thus, in 1997 his first parade as an independent designer was showed on television.
His career hadn’t really begun until he became Moschino’s creative director, and his first collection as the brand designer, which was inspired by junk food packages. Loved and hated at the same time, Jeremy Scott causes anything, but indifference.
